If you’re a creative operator who can think big and execute fast, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy + Execution

  • Develop and manage a high-impact content calendar aligned with product drops, team sales, and major brand moments.
  • Turn marketing goals into executable creative plans—defining the “what,” “how,” and “when” of content delivery.
  • Take ownership of campaign rollout from concept to publish—briefs, production, editing, and final delivery.
  • Be the bridge between creative strategy and daily execution—ensuring ideas don’t just sound good but get done.

Content Production

  • Personally lead and execute content production—photo, video, and social assets—when needed to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with athletes, ambassadors, and events to create real-time, story-driven content (fight nights, tournaments, BTS).
  • Manage freelance creatives and agencies, ensuring quality and consistency across every deliverable.
  • Coordinate shoots, edit selects, and oversee asset organization and post-production.

E-Commerce + Campaign Content

  • Partner with the e-commerce team to create PDP imagery, homepage banners, campaign videos, and promotional assets.
  • Build athlete and influencer-led campaigns that drive engagement and measurable sales impact.
  • Translate product and brand stories into content that performs across email, paid ads, and social channels.

Team Sales Enablement

  • Develop repeatable creative kits and templates to help the sales team pitch, present, and promote team gear.
  • Produce content that highlights custom designs, team partnerships, and success stories across schools and clubs.

Performance + Optimization

  • Track and report on key content KPIs—engagement, reach, CTR, and contribution to revenue.
  • Use analytics to optimize future campaigns and test new content formats or storytelling styles.
  • Continuously refine creative processes to improve speed, consistency, and impact.

Collaboration + Communication

  • Partner closely with marketing, sales, and operations to align on goals and deliverables.
  • Manage cross-functional timelines and ensure content is delivered on-brand, on-time, and on-brief.
  • Bring proactive ideas and solutions to the table—especially during key campaigns and product launches.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years in content marketing, creative direction, or production for a consumer or athletic brand.
  • Proven ability to both strategize and execute content—from planning to hands-on delivery.
  • Expertise in short-form video, photography, social media, and storytelling for digital audiences.
  • Strong project management and communication skills; thrives in fast-moving environments.
  • Experience with Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta/Google Ads, and creative analytics is a plus.
  • Passion for combat sports, wrestling, or fitness culture strongly preferred.

Key Objectives

  • Plan it. Create it. Launch it. Deliver high-impact content that drives awareness and sales.
  • Operate efficiently. Build workflows that enable faster, scalable content creation.
  • Drive results. Tie every creative output to performance metrics and business goals.
  • Champion authenticity. Tell real stories from the mat, cage, and gym that define Takedown’s brand voice.
